Ann Turkel still struggles to cope with her divorce with Richard Harris, even though they were only married for eight years. Turkel is a native of New York. Ann has been studying voice, dancing, and acting from her earliest years. Ann started her acting education at 16 years old, studying with Sandy Meisner & Philip Burton. Ann started a band along with high school friends and started singing. The Pajama Game " and West Side Story were among the shows that she appeared in at Berkshire Playhouse, Stockbridge in Massachusetts. It was while performing with her band in the fashion show when Ann was discovered by Gloria Schiff an editor at Vogue Magazine. Diana Vreeland, the editor in chief at Vogue Magazine, requested Ann shoot her first Vogue magazine cover in just a few days. Ann became one of the sought-after models in America, appearing as a cover-model for leading fashion magazines such as Vogue Bazaar or Cosmopolitan. Ann started modeling for Max Factor Revlon in Europe and Japan in the fashion houses of Max Factor Revlon as well as Chanel after two successful years.
